The episode interviews Grace Hershberg and Ethan Kalinowski. These two members of the IWJV’s Sage Capacity Team are stationed in different corners of Montana to facilitate ecological restoration efforts within two of the BLM’s Restoration Landscapes: The Hi-Line Sagebrush Anchor landscape near Malta, and the Missouri Headwaters landscape in the Dillon area.

We have really great ranchers in this area who are interested in doing conservation work, and when you think about ranching and you think about conservation, they are not separate.
— Grace Hershberg, IRA Restoration Landscape Coordinator

The Sage Capacity Team members are conservation professionals who bridge the gap between public funding and private partnerships to implement project funding as flexibly and effectively as possible. In this podcast, Hershberg and Kalinowski speak to their experiences collaborating with locally-led partnership networks to further sagebrush habitat conservation efforts.
