We would like to attract an experienced and capable conservation practitioner to the job – someone able to independently manage cross- organizational relationships, multiple simultaneous projects, and someone motivated to take on new and innovative approaches to address one of the fastest growing threats to our ecosystem. The SMSP focuses on four primary conservation issues affecting the sagebrush steppe landscape and overall watershed health: 1) conifer expansion, 2) wet meadow and riparian habitat degradation, 3) invasive annual grasses, and 4) wildlife movement barriers. This position would lead our efforts to address invasive annual grasses.
