Job Opening: Bi-State Sage-Grouse Communication and Data Coordinator
The Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association is currently accepting applications for the Bi-State Sage-Grouse Communication and Data Coordinator, based in Bishop, California. The position is supported by the Intermountain West Joint Venture and the Bi-State Local Area Working Group (LAWG), a diverse group of stakeholders that includes federal, state, and local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, Tribes, individual Tribal members, and private landowners that work across jurisdictional boundaries to conserve Bi-State sage-grouse populations and their habitats.
The Coordinator will be responsible for developing, expanding, and managing the collaborative Bi-State partnerships crucial to the continued success of this conservation effort. Other responsibilities include:
Coordinating between agency staff leaders, agency and university scientific researchers, and local and regional elected officials.
Managing the development and completion of the annual accomplishment reports.
Strengthening communications and collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and the public.

This position is a member of IWJV’s Sage Capacity Team, a cohort of 17 individuals across the intermountain west advancing conservation for the benefit of the sagebrush ecosystem and its resident wildlife and communities. Application deadline is October 16, 2022.
